What sets this combo apart from others?
We use an advanced 1200 Denier fabric with polymers. The hi-tech manufacturing process insures that the denier fabric works to keep water out - but allows the humid/moist air to escape out through the material keeping your horse - dry but allows sweat and moisture to breath out to eliminate chills.

All Caribu Synthetic Rugs and Combos are rated to a waterproof rating of at least 3000MM - more than twice the minimum requirements. Our Synthetic Rugs have a breath ability rating of at least 3000gr/m2/per24hrs - so you can rest assured that your horse will be snug and warm in the worst of weather. Keep in mind that many advertised waterproof rugs are not breathable. (or meet ratings for waterproofness!!) Read more about our ratings and breathability here.

Additionally all our 1200 Denier fabrics incorporate a Ripstop design into the fabric. You will notice we use a continuous run of fabric in the neck and body of the combo - no joins or seams in the neck line or back area to let water in!

This Combo Horse rug incorporates a Poly Cotton Satin and soft mesh lining (No fill). This rug is ideal for all seasons. A great design with quality materials and construction.

This style of rug often works best when used over a light cotton rug or similar in certain weather conditions. The under rug helps to wick away any build up of perspiration if you get high humidity or your horse perspires from extended activity , likewise the under rug will also assist in preventing condensation that can occur in extremely cold weather due to differences in outer air temperature.
